Meeting for the first timePosted: August 24, 2013
Today was Pick up day! Yay 🙂
We’ll keep it short for now… it’s been a long but especially fun day.
We were met by our local representative at the camp location and she immediately introduced us to Zoé. And all was good 🙂
After having a drink and chatting a bit we were also introduced to the exchange student that’s going to live near us. The girls get along well, so perhaps they’ll meet up at some point later this year. The exchange organisation then gave a presentation with some reminders and extra information and finally all of the exchange students introduced themselves, in Dutch (!), to the host families. They did well 🙂 And then after saying goodbyes it was time to go home.
We were very impressed and pleasantly surprised with Zoé’s level of spoken (and written) Dutch. We’ve already talked about so much in the car and once home. We made our famous but not yet famous pizza variety together, talked about how we do things in our house, Zoé’s summer travels, the Dutch and French language and much more.
And now… it’s SO time for bed 🙂
